Course of Clinical Psychology

Nurturing clinical psychology specialists
with sophisticated practical skills
who can respond to growing social needs

Established in 2005, the Course of Clinical Psychology of the Graduate School of Humanities, ISU, was accredited as a Class 1 Designated Graduate School for Training Clinical Psychologists by the Foundation of the Japanese Certification Board for Clinical Psychologists for the first time in Fukushima Prefecture. Since the Department offers a curriculum that enables students to take courses necessary to gain eligibility for admission to the national examination for certified public psychologists, students can obtain qualifications for taking both examinations for certified clinical psychologists and certified public psychologists as soon as they complete their course of study. Providing an excellent education and research environment characterized by instructors with rich practical experience in clinical settings, a substantial curriculum, practical training at the attached practical training facility “Psychological Counseling Center,” and on-site training at off-campus medical institutions, we are waiting for those who want to be a clinical psychologist to enter our department.
