Consisting of four courses, the Department of Science and Engineering strives
to foster expert engineers who can contribute
to establishing a sustainable society through interdisciplinary learning.

The department consists of four courses: Course of Environment and Energy, Course of Life Science, Course of Electronic and Computer Science, and Course of Mechanical Engineering. These four courses are closely related to each other through the eight keywords for establishing a sustainable society (energy, environment, biotechnology, biology, networking, computer engineering, skilled manufacturing, and machinery).
In the first and second years, we provide a wide range of basic knowledge based on the eight keywords. In the third year, students select one of the four courses in consideration of what subject to select as a graduation thesis.
Students can carefully decide their courses for the future through learning in a wide range of academic disciplines. From the third year, we help students deepen their expertise, thus aiming to foster expert engineers who can contribute to establishing a sustainable society.
