International ISEAPT Survey on Availability and Usage of EPA (25 May to 25 July)
At the 8th Board Meeting on 23 September 2021, the ISEAPT Board tasked Yuichi Abe (Board Member) to prepare and conduct an online survey for all member countries on the availability and usage of EPA, and to present the results at the inaugural ISEAPT Summit. The English language survey was also translated into 5 other languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Indonesian, Japanese, Spanish). The results will serve as a baseline status of EPA and 5-year follow-up studies were also planned in order to monitor changes in usage trends. These studies will provide the ISEAPT Board members with data to guide decision making and strategies for implementation. To participate, please click on the link below:

EPA is defined as the use of electrophysical and biophysical energies for the purposes of evaluation, treatment and prevention of impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions.
Evaluation procedures involving EPA include (but are not limited to) ultrasound imaging and electro-neurophysiological testing in order to assist with physical therapy diagnosis, guide treatment procedures and to evaluate treatment outcomes.
Treatment procedures involving EPA include (but are not limited to) the use of electromagnetic, acoustic and mechanical energies to produce biophysical effects at the cellular,  tissue, organic and whole body levels in order to achieve physiological and clinical effects which serves to maintain and optimize health.
