Characteristics

The School provides the Doctoral and Master’s programs. The Master’s program consists of the Life Sciences and Material Engineering Course and the Human and Information Engineering Course; the former is run by the members of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the latter by the members of Faculty of Health Sciences, under close cooperation with the academic advisers.
Students learn basic research methods in the Master’s program and tackle creative issues, using these research methods and more, in the Doctoral program. With a research topic of developing a cutting-edge field through the merger of studies in life sciences, pharmacy, and health sciences, various kinds of research are conducted to resolve various issues in the 21st century with the ability to think flexibly and through creative research.

Doctoral program

The Doctoral program aims to produce researchers and instructors in the life sciences and pharmaceutical fields with high expertise and creative research ability, and advanced medical professional leaders particularly in the field of physical therapy and occupational therapy.

Master’s program

Life Sciences and Material Engineering Course

The Life Sciences and Material Engineering Course fosters researchers who have extensive knowledge of life sciences. The course covers a wide range of research areas and is conducted from the perspectives of life and pharmaceutical sciences.

Human and Information Engineering Course

The Human and Information Engineering course caters to clinicians and academics in health sciences. The course prepares graduates not only with research skills and methodologies, but also in using research to practice in an evidence-based practice environment.
